Abstract
The scope of this paper is limited to an analysis of the impact of high technology equipment on white collar workers. This includes job design, impact on communication and decision making processes, changes in managerial and employee roles and the impact on productivity and organizational structure. A set of guidelines to aid managers in the process of introducing new high technology equipment into the work place is presented based on the conclusions from the data analysis coupled with our review of the current literature.
