Abstract
This paper looks at the problem of efficient transport operations for Emery Worldwide, a subsidiary of Consolidated Freightways, Inc. Emery is a major international carrier of "hard" air freight, which is the air freight other than envelopes and small packages. The paper focuses on Emery's North American operations, which constitute the majority of Emery's air freight business.
