Abstract
The study is designed on a taxonomy approach to define the role of engineering managers on the success of technology transfer process between research and business units. The survey results suggest that the role of engineering manager was found important for a successful technology transfer by business managers. Researchers had a different viewpoint. Business managers also agreed that the engineering manager had a significant role on improving the communication and credibility.
