Abstract
In this paper we suggest a method to achieve optimum system efficiency when used on very small production lot sizes with associated high costs and dynamic changes, as are typically found in high dollar capital equipment manufactures. We analyze a specific case, and applied a hybrid planning and production approach to achieve an optimum solution.
