Abstract
Cascade Containers Company (CCC) manufactures on a job order basis drop boxes, containers, and self dumping hoppers. All of the work done is on a special contract basis and there is no finished goods' inventory. Its geographical market is very broad in North-West. Its target market stretches from Seattle, Washington to Eugene, Oregon. The population of this area is growing very rapidly and this drives the demand for its products. The company progressed very well in the last two years. It moved to a new site in Ridgefield, Washington from Vancouver. A new office, fully equipped with state-of-the-art computer network, and a shop building was recently constructed. In this paper, the feasibility of acquiring new machines for production and its impact on CCC's cash-flow is investigated.
