Abstract
This paper reports the findings of a survey designed to capture the Project Management Tools and Methodologies currently being used in three organizations. The survey was given to fourteen project managers from three different organizations. The tools used in all of the project lifecycle phases of a project were captured. Beginning with (1) Project Origination, (2) Project Initiation, (3) Project Planning, (4) Project Execution and Control and (5) Project Closeout. The results showed that most project managers are following the PM standards and best practices as demonstrated by the tools and techniques used. The project tool mostly used is Gantt chart in addition to the Work Breakdown Structure in addition to communication and collaboration tools such as email and collaboration tools are also being used to manage projects.
