Abstract
Much research has been done about globalization and the evolution of virtual teams with members scattered across the time, culture, and geographical boundaries. With the evolution of teams from local to global, companies learned that many challenges have arisen from the differences in cultures and tried to enforce training programs to minimize the impact of such differences on productivity. This research focuses on how the differences in what cultures value can impact project management negatively. Specifically, this research looks at the impact of cultures on the management of Project Scope, Integration, Time, Communication, Risk, and HR. The research concludes with a list of recommendations on how to deal with some of these issues to minimize the negative impact on project management.
