Our team‘s research project was on the corporate and product strategy of Nintendo and its new popular Nintendo Wii video game system. Our objective was to investigate and analyze the innovation break-through and affect of the Nintendo Wii on the video gaming industry and its consumers. Our methodology consists of utilizing secondary data in the form of literature research, book reviews, and the news. We focused on how the Nintendo Wii started from the drawing rooms to how it gets to the consumers. We examined the video game industrial forces, Nintendo's corporate background, their use of the Blue Ocean Strategy in becoming a ‗First Mover‘ by reassessing and realigning their strategic objectives and technological roadmaps, the radical innovations found in Wii and delve into the details around Nintendo‘s corporate and product strategy.
