Abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a new service department for Hydraulic System Design Company (HSDC). HSDC was founded in 1996 as a design firm for hydraulic systems and components. Since then, HSDC has expanded to include manufacturing the systems and components it designs. Within the original business strategy, service support for designs have been outsourced to a local third-party company. Customer feedback has shown recent dissatisfaction with the service support despite an increase in demand. In order to improve customer satisfaction, add service revenue, and expand the company’s offerings, HSDC has decided to integrate service support into the company’s business strategy.
