Abstract

Unlike traditional mechanical springs, magnetic springs offer variable stiffness by adjusting magnet orientation without physical contact. The setup aims to harness ocean wave vibrations to oscillate a magnet within a wire coil, generating electric current through resonance. Experimental testing confirmed that the device resonates, achieving peak amplitude amplification at 7.4 Hz with an output vibration 3.7 times larger than the input. Future work involves evaluating variable magnetic stiffness under low-frequency inputs and integrating coils and additional spring configurations to generate current and ensure stability
