Abstract
By 2035, we are projected to capture around 2.1 trillion terabytes of data, all of which needs to be stored around the world and managed and optimized to be made useful. Sieve is a middleware algorithm that reduces the time a database takes to process results with evaluating access control policies. With thousands of users, there can be hundreds of thousands of policies that can take hours to process. To make sure we’re processing data in real-time, we would need to reduce the number of policies to be evaluated or the amount of data that needs to be checked against those policies. The Workload facilitates inserting a set number of policies between every query going to the database. This number will affect guard generation speed as more policies need to be broken down.
