The dedication of the Branford P. Millar library included speakers PSU President Joseph Blumel, Mrs. Millar (wife of Branford), Frank Millar (son of Branford), Dr. Gordon Hearn (School of Social Work), Mrs. Miles Romney (Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Oregon State System of Higher Education, and Dr. Frank Rodgers (Director). Introduction to the dedication, which took place in the lobby of the new library on May 30, 1975, was provided by the PSU Brass Ensemble. [Note: A brief interruption occurs at 24:54, as students from the Chicano Student Union can be heard calling for a boycott of classes (see PSU Vanguard, June 3, 1975)]
