Abstract
A LDL particle functionalized with a GdDO3A-monoamidechelate with a long alkenyl anchor (GdDO3A-OA) was preparedforin vivodetection of atheroplaques. The GdDO3A-OA, whensuccessfully intercalated into the lipid layer of LDL particles, ledto a significant enhancement of magnetic resonance imaging signalintensity of atheroplaques in atherosclerosis mouse models.
