Abstract
This brief overview of the history of Native art of Oregon was included in the book Oregon Painters (second edition). From thousands of sites of ancient rock art to contemporary artists, Native American art of Oregon also includes artistry in beadwork, basketry, sculptures, paintings on longhouses, canoes, paddles, and burial platforms, and paintings in international exhibits and museums.
