The Association for Environmental Science Students and the Department of Environmental Science and Management co-hosted the Environmental Science Student Research Colloquium and Alumni lecture on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017. The event featured research posters by undergraduate and graduate students, oral presentations by three graduate students, and a keynote talk by Dr. Jonathan B. Armstrong from Oregon State University. This year's annual event brought together student researchers on topics from forest management of wildfire under climate change to the effects of beaver dams on urban water systems, the ecological merits of backyard habitat patches, and the seedling performance of a threatened cypress in Patagonia.
