Abstract
Managing engineering and technology requires comprehensive approaches powered by proven tools. As rapid technological changes have changed our lives and how business is conducted, the importance of such approaches is at a critical point. Technology roadmapping is one of such approaches and have been implemented successfully at an increasing rate last two decades. The objective of this issue is to introduce this approach to the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management (JETM) audience to accomplish multiple goals. One goal is to introduce the field and key research streams. Other goal is to encourage researchers to apply and improve the process and publish their work in JETM. Final goal is to introduce this powerful approach to professionals in the industry and government sectors where more and more we see sophisticated approaches being deployed by those with doctoral degrees.
