Abstract
Using Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Bibliometric data publicly available this paper uses wireless power transmission journal data to plot and analyze citation networks over time. This illustrates some of the community trends, relative citation networks, the degree of collaboration, and other insight derived from bibliometrics. Looking at trends in communities of journal data over time can help in identification of experts, provide data points for journal/patent prediction, and provide perspective on possible project investment in related fields. Wireless power transmission has been chosen as a sample topic due to relatively recent mainstream adoption in consumer devices (cell phones) and automobiles (supporting charging standards) as well as advancements that may represent a disruption to mobile power storage technologies. This report will review current journal data citation networks, provide a basic analysis of findings, identify gaps and suggest future work to build upon.
