Abstract
This article demonstrates an application of hierarchical modeling to the problem of selecting the appropriate wood coloring methods (dyes, mordants and thermal modification) according to technological, economic and ecological criteria. The methodology of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to this multi-criteria system analysis problem. The quantification of the model was done according to the expert estimation with Saaty's relative importance scales. The authors present the results of synthesis of priorities for alternatives, including normalized factor priorities of model alternatives, normalized weights of criteria and global priority results.
