The Forest Collaborative (FC) is a part of the Environment for Development (EfD) Initiative, which is a twelve-country program with its secretariat at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Portland State is an affiliate EfD center. The FC is a community of policy-oriented researchers and key stakeholders with research interests related to forest issues in developing countries and the goal to increase the quality and quantity of forest-related EfD research. The Forest Collaborative organizes joint projects, meetings and workshops that develop and support its network of researchers. Among the outputs of the Forest Collaborative are peer-reviewed journal articles, research working papers, policy briefs and presentations, many of which are part of this collection.
