Abstract
“Good Will Dunking” is a comedy drama short film that challenges the audience to overcome their fears and always be themselves. This paper reports on the decisions in each stage of production that made this film a reality while offering a reflection on the filmmaking process that is always riddled with problems in need of solving. Utilizing an approach inspired by filmmaker Robert Rodriguez’s early career, I took on many roles in this production in order to better understand every aspect that goes into making a film, and the challenges that came with this approach. I explore the various issues that arose throughout the production and how my team and I overcame them. As a result, this culminating film is proof of my potential as a filmmaker.
