Abstract

An analysis of the evolution of the mockumentary format of filmmaking, and how the format's key visual elements contribute to its aesthetic of a fake reality. This essay also serves as a companion piece to a thesis film entitled The Race Walker, and as such, contains a reflection on how prior research of the topic contributed to the creative decisions made in the production of the film.
