Abstract
Japantown was a community of Japanese immigrants existing in Portland in where Old Town Chinatown is currently located from 1890 to 1941. Due to law changes and the occurrence of World War II, the community came to an end as the people there had to move to internment camps or back to Japan. This project will be a revival proposal of Japantown into present time Portland incorporating the current needs of the city. The book will include a logo for the community and district, as well as multiple deliverables that will be used to advertise and run the community through a committee.
