    Recto of folded manuscript leaf from Vita sancti Matthaei apostoli, circa 1150-1199.

    Bifolium once used as a book cover. Needle or awl prickings on outside, a few small holes inside. Sewing marks on top and bottom of both leaves. Two columns, 46 lines. Caroline minuscule. No rubrication or large initials. Threads are visible at bottom of the leaf where probably stitches were made to "even out" the lower edge.

    Modern printed text is f ound in Acta sanctorum Septembris, tomus sextus. Paris and Rome : Bollandists, 1867, pp. 220-224.
