Description
Recto of manuscript leaf from a breviary in Latin. Written in single columns of 17 lines; ruled in red. Gothic book hand. Primary initial (3-line) in blue, green and red on burnished gold ground from which emanates a border of red, blue and gold flowers on the outer two sides; several secondary initials (1-line) in burnished gold on blue and red ground with white tracery; full border of flowers and ivy leaves in blue, green, red and gold on the outer margin of each side, on the recto emanating from a gold bar.
Begins on recto with: "Confitebor tibi d[omin]ne q[uonia]m iratus es in[de]: co[n]versus est furor tuus et co[n]solatus es me ... "; text ends on recto with: "Exulta et lauda habita[tio] syon: q[u]i[a] magnus m"; text continues on verso with: "medio tui sanctus isr[ae]l ... "; text ends on verso with: De mane usque ad vesp[er]am finies me sicut"...
