Description
St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo. Recto of leaf from De Trinitate, ca. 1200-1299.
Manuscript leaf of text De Trinitate: Book IV, chapters 8-13; 29-V.
Italy, 13th-14th century. Bifolium, used as a book cover: folded at top, bottom and sides, 2 cm.
Gothic script, glossing script. Two columns, 51 lines. Chapter titles in red. A strip (2 cm) has been cut from right edge. In the center margin the name: Giancarlo Semproni. Lacking book IV, chapters 13-29 between these two folios.
Modern printed text is found in Sancti aurelii Augustini De Trinitate liber XV, Turnholti : Brepols, 1968, pp. 171, 200, 206.
