At PSU we have recently authored the "OER Guide for WR 227 Instructors: Using Open Educational Resources (OERs) in WR 227 Courses" to support instructors of technical writing in adopting OER materials for their courses. Our working group has also gathered feedback from instructors on adopting OERs and done extensive research in educational literature to understand the broader implementation of OERs in higher education and the challenges and opportunities that they present. This presentation will summarize some of our research findings as well as introduce the "OER Guide" as an example of a resource that directly support instructors.
