I will share how our OER, Beginning Spanish ¡Empecemos por aquí! program not only addresses many of the issues we encountered with comprehensive textbooks, but also creates opportunities for learning outcomes that reach beyond language acquisition, such as critical thinking, equity and inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and ethics and social responsibility.
