Description
So you’ve created or adopted an OER, how do you get your students to actually use it? In CHE 101 at Oregon tech we have developed a LibreTexts OER using Openstax Chemistry, original content, and other multimedia. After student evaluations showed that more than 60% of our students were not engaging with the text, we realized that we had to be more intentional about how we promote the use of this valuable resource. In this presentation, we will share about designing an OER that is appealing to students and how to better integrate what you do in the classroom with the educational resources you provide.
