Abstract
Winter Tale is a novel told from the first-person perspective of Greta, a retired professional dancer who teaches ballet to teens on the Oregon coast. The narrative explores the perpetual effect of memory and childhood over the adult consciousness. Greta blurs past and present, fact and fiction as she takes a road trip with her most promising student.
