Abstract
Four real hermits and one imagined hermit live in Viking-era Iceland, North Carolina, Australia, Chicago, and a space somewhere on future Earth. An elderly woman lives next to Frank Lloyd Wright's old house and discovers someone in her attic. A woman finds solace and disturbance in a park.
