Abstract
Motherdough is a collection of poetry that explores topics of nostalgia, grief, and memory through a geographic lens. I weave humor and minute details through a recollection of my past experiences. How are our memories ingrained in the places we called home, the places we explored muddy and barefoot? What parts of ourselves do we shed when we must leave or grow up? Through a lyrical and confessional voice, I speak to my past selves with the knowledge and experience of who I have become.
