Abstract

This multi-POV novel explores the idea of digital addiction through the lens of the near future, speculating as to the existence of a treatment facility that offers a novel solution to a longstanding societal affliction. Told via the perspectives of three students and three adults, the work follows closely the various ways in which each character is impacted by The Center and the characters around them. This work explores themes of addiction, parent-child relationships, friendship, marriage, the use of technology, and secrets.
