Abstract
estuary doorway is one long poem that dislodges language from convention. The poem, which is experimental, narrative, and lyrical, is an exploration of inheritance. It grapples with how to apply language to inherited ways of being that do not come with narratives but instead exist somatically. Chimes sounding, stones and coins landing, slings and slippery fish are some motifs that recur throughout the poem. The poem occupies a generative space of disorientation and revels in the unruliness of the english language.
