This recording documents the inauguration of Branford Price Millar as the second president of Portland State College, a post that he held from 1959 to 1968. Also speaking at the event were Oregon State System of Higher Education Chancellor John Richards; President of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education Henry Cabell, Lewis and Clark College President Morgan Odell, and Oregon Governor Mark Hatfield [whose remarks were not recorded].
