Participants in this session of the "Minority and the Media" workshop include Tana Lane (KOIN), Mark Azul (KOIN), Alan K. Ota (reporter for the Oregonian), and Chuck Strutter (OEPBS-TV). The program was co-sponsored by the Portland State Black Studies Program. [Note: Recording begins and ends abruptly]
Explores, among other subjects, the portrayal of members of minority groups in the mass media and examines discrimination problems faced by women and minorities attempting to obtain employment in the mass media.
