This recording documents a question and answer session with Francis Ivancie, who was serving on the Portland City Council as Parks Commissioner at the time. The initial topic was a recent article by Mr. Ivancie on social problems and the family. Following his brief opening remarks, Ivancie took questions from the student audience on the subject of his article and on local issues, including a recent ordinance to close certain Portland city parks at night, the city council hearings process, and the Model Cities program.

Transferred and preserved by Portland State University Library’s Special Collections with the generous support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oregon State Library.
