Notes
The Regional Bicycle Plan addresses this region's recognition of bicycling as a legitimate form of transportation. The primary intent of the plan is to designate a system of safe, direct bicycling routes serving major trip destinations throughout the region. Addressing routes alone, however, does not sufficiently meet those needs: thus, the Regional Bicycle Plan also establishes policies regarding funding, bicycle parking, registration, and safety education.
The preparation of this report has been financed in part by funds from the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration; and by funds from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
