Abstract
Anyone who has gone to the movies or picked up a comic book lately probably has encountered Brian’s work. He has been a consultant on such blockbusters as Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Captain America and X-Men. He’s an award-winning and bestselling creator of comic series and graphic novels. He’s the author of Words for Pictures, an intricate look at the making of comic books and graphic novels, based in part on classes he teaches at PSU. His theme is storytelling, and how important it is to create a distinct voice if you want to be heard by an increasingly fragmented audience.
