Abstract
Steve Pfeiffer was interviewed by Michael Rupp on July 21, 2022.
Pfeiffer was a land use attorney and former Chair of the Land Conservation and Development Commission. Before becoming an attorney, he began his career as an intern with 1000 Friends of Oregon. He then became a land use planner with Klamath County and the city of Klamath Falls before attending the University of Oregon School of Law.

Steve Pfeiffer is a Portland attorney specializing in land use, zoning, real estate development, and natural resource law. He is a former member and chair of the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission.
Description
"People and the Land" is a collaboration between the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development and Portland State University. The goal of this project is to document and preserve a record of Oregon’s land use program through the recording, transcription, collection and archiving of personal oral histories.
