Abstract
This editorial is the third in a series that concerns the future craft of scholarship and research in a changing university and civic context. The first editorial introduced the series and described the aims of the study (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/23303131.2023.2187158). The second editorial examined the question of how academic faculty and community-based scholar-researchers should prepare themselves to be successful in the new university and civic environment (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/23303131.2023.2232644).
