Abstract
The Portland State University Library developed unique teams, both within the Library and at the consortial level, to navigate the Orbis Cascade Alliance’s 2021-2022 migration to Primo VE, along with a limited migration of eight academic libraries from the Alliance to Rapido. This presentation provides S.W.O.T. analyses of these migrations. The presenters will cover the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats or challenges of these intertwined migrations. Highlights will include effective communication with project management software, the question of FRBR, the importance of two or more Resource Types for one item (a DEI issue regarding U.S. government information), the impact of real time discovery, and the evolution of consortium lending and Interlibrary Loan to next business day delivery of physical and digital resources.
