Abstract

The author focuses on the issue of undisclosed publications, by which she means works published under pseudonyms or anonymously. The author comments on the proliferation of anonymity in the era of the Internet, saying that technology allows people to be not accountable for their actions and to break social contracts in the scholarly world. The author uses the example of the library field and discusses peer review and professional discourse.
