Biographical
Regina Flowers moved to Vanport from Oklahoma with her parents and three brothers during World War II, when she was ten years old. Her father took a job at the Kaiser shipyard, and her family stayed in Vanport until the flood of 1948.
In this interview with PSU student Jenna Jula, Flowers describes the many activities that she participated in as a child growing up in Vanport, and some of the lifelong friendships she made while living there.
