Biographical
Siblings Howard Lucas and Sally (Sara Lucas) Privette came to Vanport with their parents, Fred and Juanita Lucas, from Northern California in 1943, when Howard was in kindergarten. Fred Lucas was an administrator for Vanport City Schools, and Juanita volunteered with the Red Cross.
In this interview with PSU student Jenaya Wallace, Privette and Lucas share memories of childhood and city-wide activities in Vanport, and their parents' active roles in the community.
