Student Success - Fostering Mindset Culture at PSU

Dr. Omid Fotuhi facilitated a discussion and interactive workshop on the topic of fostering mindset culture at PSU. This symposium was designed to be a continuation of our campus conversations on growth mindset and the effect of social-psychological factors on student academic success. Dr. Fotuhi's presentation titled The Psychology of Student Success - Mindset and Messaging was followed by group discussions and activities regarding fixed vs. growth mindset and strategies to create a culture of growth and trust. Later in the morning, Dr. Erin Shortlidge, PSU Assistant Professor, Biology presented on Reaching all of our Students: A Discussion on Inclusive Teaching Practices followed by table and group discussions on What you can do Tomorrow for a More Inclusive Classroom.
